How to delete your account (in-app)

1. Open the RustBooks app

2. Go to Profile → Edit Profile

3. Tap Delete My Account and confirm

If you can’t access the app
Email us from the email address used in the app with the subject “Account Deletion Request.”
Include (if possible) your User ID (UID).

What will be deleted

• Your RustBooks account (Firebase Authentication identity)

• Your user profile and associated data stored in our database (e.g., finishedBooks, wishlist, currentReading, Messages, Dms, notifications)

• Your profile image stored in cloud storage (if any)

• Your push-notification (FCM) token

What may be retained (and why)

• Legal/transactional records (e.g., tax or purchase documents) retained as required by law

• Security/anti-fraud logs retained for up to 90 days

• System backups that may include your data retained for up to 30 days before being overwritten

• Anonymous/aggregated analytics that cannot identify you may be kept

Timing

• In-app deletions are processed immediately

• Email requests are processed within 7 days

• The retention periods above still apply

Identity verification
We may ask you to verify your email or provide your UID so we can delete the correct account.
